"Staycations" made simple with an extended warranty
 Sometimes called an "extended warranty", a service contract is a promise to perform (or pay for) certain repairs or services. Although technically not a “warranty” as defined by federal law, service contracts may be arranged at any time and always costs extra. Warranties, on the other hand, ONLY come with a new car and are included in the original price. Vehicle service contracts are popularly referred to as "extended auto warranties" or "extended warranties". Use of the term "extended warranty" or "warranty" on this site is intended to refer to vehicle service contracts and not manufacturer's warranties.
As the economy slowly bounces back, some Americans are planning to travel this summer. Those who want to save a little extra might consider a "staycation," where rather than jetsetting to an exotic locale, families visit some attractions and sights nearby. If this sounds like a good idea to you, you may want to consider purchasing an extended warranty to protect your primary means of transportation.
On a "staycation," the car is the key to the whole trip. It will be responsible for transporting everybody and their luggage to the destination. Sometimes, driving somewhere is half the fun. Families will appreciate the bonding time while playing road games or listening to music.
Unfortunately, a vacation like this can end really quickly if the car breaks down, and that vacation budget can quickly find its way into the hands of a mechanic.
With an extended auto warranty, drivers can set off on their vacation without worrying about the toll it may take on their vehicle.
