Having vehicle inspections performed on your vehicle after enrollment is highly recommended, but not required. An inspection conducted by a licensed repair facility demonstrates that your vehicle was in excellent mechanical condition at the time of enrollment. That can be very helpful if your vehicle has a problem very soon after the warranty’s exclusion period, which is typically 30 days and 1000 miles after enrollment. For claims made very soon after the exclusionary period, warranty companies tend to suspect – often correctly – that the vehicle had a pre-existing condition. If an inspection has been done, then the question of a pre-existing condition no longer applies. As a result, your claim will be processed more quickly.
Any items on the vehicle inspections that do not pass inspection will not be covered by the warranty until they are fixed – provided that the components or part is a covered item by the contract.
To have an inspection done, simply go to a repair facility that you trust, and have them check the following major categories:
Transmission, Transaxle, Differential, Transfer Case
Then, just fax AAautoProtection.com the repair order and the receipt, and they will be filed.
Having vehicle inspections performed is just another way of obtaining peace of mind, and ensuring that your new warranty works exactly like it’s meant to do.
